A Festive Spin on a British Favorite!

Hi there, Reader

Here I am turning the traditional British Bakewell Tart on its head and giving it a festive twist!

Mincemeat replaces the raspberry jam and we've got a festively spiced vanilla sponge instead of the almond frangipane. Then it's topped with lots of snow-white icing and toasty almonds. It's so good!

This is an old recipe that's been on AVV since 2016 and I've made it every single Christmas since then. It's a real family favorite and I love it because it keeps really well so you can make it a good few days ahead.

I have a mincemeat recipe here, but it's pretty easy to buy jars of vegan mincemeat if you're not up for making it. Robertson's and Tiptree are popular brands that are vegan. As a lot of you are in America, I checked some of your stores online and Safeway, Albertsons, Kroger, Walmart, and Amazon sell it. Probably more too but I'm not familiar with them all to check. In Canada, most big stores sell Robertson's mincemeat, and if you're in the UK you're spoiled!😜

Hi there, Reader This is probably the most frequent reader recipe request I've had over the years - Vegan Sugar Cookies that don't spread! This sugar cookie recipe is...
