I never would have guessed that my Vegan Carrot Cake recipe (rated 5 stars by many of you) could be so controversial, but...This is the internet. I should have known.

Every time I share this recipe on social media (particularly Facebook), I get loads of people trying it and loving it, but I also get tons of people who will never try it because of one simple ingredient... ⬇️

Pineapple.

Before I developed this recipe, I had no idea there were so many people who passionately dislike pineapple in carrot cake. I mean, there have even been people having full-on arguments about it! 😲

The pineapple really adds to the texture of the cake and the bitey bursts are SO delicious, but it's also totally optional for those of you who just can not. The recipe has been tested without and still turns out beautifully.
